Boaz

I am an academic philosopher in the fields of social epistemology, philosophy of science and technology, and science and technology studies. I’m Senior Lecturer and Chair of of the Department of Information Systems at Zefat Academic College.

My new book The Social Dimensions of Scientific Knowledge: Consensus, Controversy and Coproduction is out at Cambridge University Press (2024).

My PhD is from the Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology (IHPST), University of Toronto, and I have a BSc in computer science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Before I became an academic scholar, I was a software engineer.

I study knowledge and information on the Internet, expertise, collective knowledge, scientific consensus, the relations between evidence and values, and scientific models and truth.
